Time - does it come to an end one day? Or is as the old saying goes, “time marches on”?

I have become quite fearful these last weeks as I have read about AI and how, if not regulated, it could potentially wipe out humanity. I know several individuals that have given up reading the news altogether. They cannot manage the stress that the news can cause within them and I definitely understand that.

I was praying about AI and asking God what He had to say about it along with the fears that are being expressed in the news. As I prayed, I saw an hourglass and the huge hands of God release it. It began to tumble end over end, and He said: “I hold time”. Then all at once, the hourglass just stopped; as suddenly as it had begun, it now stood still.

In the book of Revelations 21:6, it says: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.“

God began time and He will end it when He is good and ready. He loves us and sees us. He says in Isaiah 41:10, “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand”.

There is nothing that is created by man that changes these truths. God holds us in the palm of His hand as He holds all who are dear to us. The One who is the Alpha and Omega, offers us peace for our fearful hearts. The world will one day come to an end according to the scriptures. God will decide when that day comes and how it will come. He does not change and become lesser because of the invention of some master intelligence. God is Sovereign today and forever.

The One who is the Alpha and Omega watches over time.

Dear Father,

You are the Sovereign God and there is no one who can stand against You. We trust You for today and for the days ahead. You will meet us there and we are thankful. We seek Your peace and wisdom for these days. Thank You, Father.
